I am thrilled to announce the launch of the new ibi™ platform with three distinct offerings: ibi™ Mainframe, ibi™ Analytics, and ibi™ Data Intelligence. Never before has ibi been better suited to help our customers thrive. The new ibi™ platform offers tremendous value to our customers when it comes to quick decision making, getting faster insights, modernizing your use cases on mainframes, and maintaining your data integrity. We did this by removing any and all barriers to our product capabilities and giving you unlimited capacity to use these capabilities. This is very unique in our industry and is a landmark event for both ibi and ibi users everywhere.

Why we did this

Our team truly believes in maximizing value for ibi customers. In this pursuit, we have simplified the complexity of our offerings to optimize value. Now, all ibi enterprise-grade capabilities are available through three distinct platform offerings that include not just WebFOCUS, FOCUS, Data Migrator, and iWay Service Manager, but, also our industry-leading mainframe connectivity capabilities, our data science models, and our containerized images to power deployments in the cloud of your choice.

Addressing the complexity of mainframes

Mainframe environments often feel different from other platforms, presenting their own set of challenges in multiple areas like modernization and, most importantly, skill retention or lack of skills. Their importance in our day-to-day lives cannot be understated: case in point the most recent global Crowdstrike IT outage. Guess what! Every Windows system was affected but the mainframes were untouched.

This speaks to the credibility of these systems and the role they play in handling large-scale, mission-critical applications. But, the legacy nature of many mainframe applications further complicates modernization efforts, requiring specialized skills that are becoming increasingly scarce as a significant portion of the mainframe workforce approaches retirement.

ibi^™ Analytics includes ibi^™ WebFOCUS, ibi^™ Data Migrator, ibi^™ WebFOCUS Container Edition, AI & DSML Services, 70+ read/write adapters, and all add-ons and product components.

ibi^™ Mainframe includes ibi^™ FOCUS, ibi^™ WebFOCUS, ibi^™ iWay Service Manager, ibi^™ Data Migrator, ibi^™ Open Data Hub for Mainframe, FOCUS Studio, and 25 read/write adapters and connectors on the mainframe.

ibi^™ Data Intelligence includes Data Quality, ibi^™ iWay Service Manager, and ibi^™ Data Migrator. Additionally, customers will have the option to purchase ibi^™ Address Service as an add-on.
